The Hotel Atlanta in Bangkok

If you're visiting Bangkok and want to stay in a classy yet affordable hotel, I doubt you could do better than the Hotel Atlanta. With purple secondary lighting and it could be the backdrop of a Wong Kar Wai movie. Add some overly self-conscious symmetry and it's a Wes Anderson set.

The reception area.

The front desk even has an old style switchboard.

I don't know if they actually use it.

They have classic looking fans.

And telephones

They even have a study.

And their restaurant is very good.

If you go out the back door.

You'll find Bangkok's first hotel pool.

The pool patio area looks pretty cool.

They've got hammocks.

And check out the design on the walls outside.

I also thought this sign for proper attire was pretty funny.
