Stewed Pork Place

Ain't nothing halal about this post.

Here's another quality restaurant in Kuala Terengganu's Chinatown.

This place only serves one thing. Bakuteh. Which literally translates into "pork, bone, tea."

The broth is flavored with Chinese roots and herbs and pork bones

The pork is super tender because they cook it for so long.

It it served in a clay pot and comes with white rice.

Apparently Bakuteh was invented in Malaysia in the 1950's for Chinese immigrants with physically demanding jobs who needed a meal that was cheap, easy to make and energizing (the Chinese herbs in the broth are traditionally used in cooking for the restorative powers).

It is also very delicious.
